French club have said they do not want to sell the Ivory Coast international but he is ready to move back to the Premier League
Salomon Kalou is due to have talks about a potential move to Tottenham.
Former Chelsea forward Kalou is ready to move back to the Premier League from French club Lille, and Spurs have shown interest.
The White Hart Lane club are believed to have sounded out his representatives and will hold discussions on Friday about a £3million move.
It remains to be seen whether Spurs will follow up their initial interest but seem keen. Lille have previously said they do not want to sell.
Ivory Coast international Kalou will wait on the outcome of the talks before deciding on his future and Lille and the Londoners would still have to agree on a fee.
Now 28, Kalou joined Chelsea from Dutch side Feyenoord in 2006 and spent six seasons at Stamford Bridge, scoring 60 goals in all competitions before leaving for France on a Bosman after their European Cup Final triumph.
